Kendama is a Japanese skill toy. It resembles the French Bilboquet, the Spanish Balero, and in English-speaking countries, it is also called ball-in-a-cup. Despite a variety of variants, the gameplay principle, to catch an object attached to a string with a stick or a cup, remains the same. Japanese Kendama differs in that its design offers the greatest possible number of trick and variation possibilities.
